thanks! it’s very simple…pretty much all you need to do is take a long piece of fabric, and on the top and bottom sew an encasing – flip over however much material you need for the width of elastic you’re using – for the elastic to be inserted into (ex: the elastic i used for this was approx 1/2", so i made a 1" flap and sewed a little less than 3/4" down). Then you take your strand of elastic (for me, for the bust area i think i used like 28") and then, using a safety pin to lead the elastic, i scrunched the material onto the elastic, which created that gathering effect. i hope i didn’t make that sound confusing :). but you should definitely try it!
