I agree…sewing can become a very cozy act of love. Anyway, your crafties are great. Your style is my fave-or-it. Thanks for the inspiration~

Sorry it took so long to get back to you as school has been really busy lately. Anyway, thank you for the compliment on my “Death Jester” costume. As you know I had been working on it for about a month and boy was it hard. The pants were pretty easy but that jacket was a challenge. I don’t know if I will be ready for another project anytime soon as this one took so much time. I would like to make a vest as my next project but I think I will wait a week or two.

Glad you like the sushi….and I agree with you that men should sew, my 10yr old son is starting to make a few simple projects….who knows…perhaps the next Jean-Paul Gaultier!!!

Thanks for your comment on my coat. All the best with your coat – it’ll be a real achievement once completed – believe me!

Just got my copy of MIXTAPE and read your article “Guys Should Sew”. I thought you it the nail on the head! My son has yet to read it but I am sure it will be a hit with him as well. Well done!

If you knew how i’d love to finally upload it ;) But there are still some problems with the lining and as I don’t have much time for sewing now it will take some time :(
How are you doing with the coat?

hi Jeffrey, fall is the time for running around in the park in well-dressed clothes. Thank you, your comment makes me happy :)

Oh yes it does go slow, I wish I could write 20 000 words out of a whim!
Have a good time in the big apple, lucky you!

Hi Jeffrey,
Thanks for your comment on my muslin jacket. It’s good to see some guys here. While checking out the site, I read that you’re working on your coat. That’s a big thing! I’m looking forward to see it.

Hey Jeffrey! Enjoy the seminary this week. Is your coat ready for the occasion?
Who is Brooke Wiberham by the way?
My thesis is going slowly but at least I am into it and enjoying it now.
Keep well!

Hehe, you’ll do well, I’m sure! And it feels so good when the coat is finished! Hey, you’re doing a COAT! I guess that’s not the easiest thing to sew.
Oct 9, 2008, 07.00 AMby Polychromatin
That’s weird, because to me a pattern means security! Trust the pattern! Because someone has made his mind up about it, whos job it is to make patterns and I guess he knows what to do. So don’t be afraid ;)

You bought fabric! Horray! I hope everything goes well and that the coat is finished before winter is over ;) I’m too curious about it! Btw: I think I’ll show my result soon :)

haha Carrots? I kinda enjoy scaring people so this year i’m going to try and make something scary, well, in a way. The costume i’m planing is called the Death Jester, meant to be ironic more than scary.

Yeah I know, some people have problems with librarians though and how many times I have to defend my profession! So I am always on the defensive about it! So you studied history as well?
Well, when I was in France, I studied History. I loved Roman, Greek, Persian Antiquity!

well with halloween coming up it will probably be some costume. By the way nice creations. That hat is really cool.
Oct 7, 2008, 02.43 PMby CarotteSauvage
Hey Jeffrey! How’s the coat going? I imagine it will be very practical and ingenious design by judging the details and finish of your previous creations (the rucksack you made for instance). Yeah, being a librarian isn’t very attractive but the salary is sexy (hot hot). Out of 24 hours I only work 4 solid hours,I read, write, do my own admin, knit, sew, print and assemble the burda patterns at work (I never got caught so far) most of the time etc… boring somehow
keep well!
