thank you so much for your comment on my bus seat skirt. you’re absolutely right, the texture and weight of the fabric is really nice, plus it really doesn’t wrinkle. i think interior design fabric might deserve another look…keep on sewing! i love your tops!

thanks soo much! I was so nervous about wearing something I made to such an important event… with family pictures and all – everyone seemed to like it, though. since my new sister-in-law (apvolek) and I like to sew together, I kind of wanted to make something nice to wear to the wedding. :)

Hi,
I am making a dress for school and i really like your afternoon tea top. I am using the top bit and then just going to put a simple skirt bit on it.
Do you hem the bust bit?… the front yokes and back yokes? i couldnt tell when to do it if you did from the instructions.
Thankyou xx

Wanted to send my gratitude for uploading the Cowl Neck Dress Top pattern. I utilised the neckline to help make my own variation and love how simple and gorgeous this pattern is. You are inspirational and love all your work. Thanks. ;)

unfortunately all the patterns i have are too big, with the bust on most of them being 38-40+ :( i’d still be happy to send you pics if you wanted a look anyway (they might be fun to alter or sew for someone else). drop me and e-mail (my user name @yahoo.com) if you still wanna see them.

Hello Ichi,
I just wanted to say I think you are amazing! All of the stuff you have created is totally awesome. I hope that I will be able to do things like that one day. I absolutely love your afternoon tea and the I can’t wait for summer tops. I wish I could figure out how to make those in my size. Although I’m not sure it would do them justice if I were to make them in plus size. lol
Happy Sewing,
Queenie

Hi IchiGoGirl, Thankyou for your support, Yes I use IE8 and now Firefox because the script problem, unfortunately neither seem to want me to see pictures, very frustrating without them. Though not as serious as your problem, they really should have that corrected by now. I know they are busy but there seem to be a lot of big issues that are not getting attention when needed. anyway as there is no point me looking at the projects page more sewing time (in between looking after my girls). Lets hope things improve quickly. keep up your beautiful sewing. Jude B

Hello IchiGo-san, thanks for your comment on my parasols! I know very well what you mean. It’s interesting that everybody thinks of Tokyu Hands when she/he is away from Japan! It’s a place where you can find something special for our everyday life. I hope that you will have a chance to come back Japan some day to enjoy shopping at Tokyu Hands as well as Nippori fabric street!

A happy birthdayHave joyfull and delight seasons.
Thank you reply and your 5 secrets of your name. when you come to japan I’ll tell you the best street to get texiles. now in japan scandinavian patterns are very popular. I think the style is very familier to us.because it is modern style, and revival of mood of 50-60’s. have you ever use that kind of texitile for sewing?

Well, grade it.. I added 4 cm horizontally from the middle and did the same vertically. And then I made it fit by trial and error ;-)

Hey! May I ask where did you order the dressform? Here they’re very expensive and I’ve been thinking of ordering it online if it’s cheaper. Thanks. :)
Aug 26, 2009, 08.14 AMby Ichigogirl
Hi! I ordered it from a Swedish company called Bergman Jonsson (http://www.bergman-johansson.com/), but I also checked out a site in the UK where the prices were good, at least compared to Sweden: http://www.sewingworld.co.uk/Dress_Forms.html
I chose to get the Swedish one since I want it NOW :-).
