Hey Enero, thanks for your comment on my wall about the rock’n’roll dress. I hadn’t noticed it was there till tonight, ‘cos I’ve been so busy sewing petticoats, I haven’t checked into the site so much.

Hello, I had some problems with message, so I’m writing here. The pattern for the elephant is on this link. I used a stretchy fabric, I have good experience with it for stuffed animals, because it’s easier to achieve the shape you want with stretch. And I always sew them by hand, they’re too small and detailled for sewing machine.
If you haven’t made stuffed animals yet, I’d reccommend this site – there are many patterns and, what’s more important, very detailled tutorials. You can start with the easy patterns, like Towel Kitty, and when you are confident, move on to the more difficult. :-)

My neighbor and I and one of the owners of Crafty Planet have been talking about getting together a weekly sewing circle in NE Minneapolis. Interested? I can let you know if it really happens.
