Hi Carla,
thanks for comment my Anda tunic.
I do the shirring, by putting elastic thread on the bobine and normal thread in the needle. The lenght of the stitch is the widest and the tension is little. And I stitch on the right side of the fabric.
See this tutorial which is very useful:

Thank you very much for your comment. I always remake and renew clothes from second hand;] and it’s became my hobby:D You can afford some ‘basic’ cheaply and using your ideas make something from those stylich expensive boutiques! Greetings;]

No I didn’t buy the pattern- I hunted around for it and just did it myself in the end. It wasn’t too tricky- just lots of measuring and making sure there was space for the pencils or pens- or what ever was put in…. I had dreams of elastic and everything but in the end I just made it very simply!

Hi there, thanks so much for your comment on my “music shirt” I made it for my son, who chose the fabric. Your sewing room looks so warm, inviting, and totally organised, it must be an inspiration to work in there.

Hey Carla, thank you for the comment on my gret jersey tank and hair! It was super duper easy and fun. I love your sewing setup, I live in a one bedroom apartment downtown- so my space is really limited but I make it work, hopefully one day I will have sewing room like yours! (it is really organized)
PS your kids are adorable
Have a nice day!

Hi CarlaTV – Thank you so much for the comment on my “his to hers” set! It was a challenging project trying to deconstruct previously-worn clothing, and try to fit the pieces to a new pattern, but I’m happy with the result. :) My friend who took the photos also really liked the cropped jacket, and I promised it to her for being so great to shoot all the photos. :)

I should take some tips from you, just wish I have more of my own place.

Thanks for your kind comment on my autumn top. Maybe I feel the neck is too low because there is very little to fill it out – I need breasts! P.S. I love your well organised sewing area. It looks fabulous!!!!

Thanks so much for the comments!…As for ideas…I’m not too sure..this particular one started with the mouth and the idea just developed so I’ve made a few different models on that theme…sometimes its just the fabric that gives me an idea and of course my kids and boyfriend quite often give me ideas and inspiration!…As for the dress…gotta love Ikea for those bold cotton prints!

Thanks so much for the comment on my Cleo’s top…versatile clothing is definitely needed here in Vancouver…the weather is so changeable. I love your daughter’s yellow polka dot dress..its good that she helped with it. My daughter loves cutting out and sewing but she’s only 6 so needs a lot of help, but soon I’ll be posting a skirt that we made together using the same fabric as for the top…she is very proud when wearing it!
