Hi Anajan, when I was downloading your pattern for the Bordeaux Dress, the page with the back neckline and back yoke didn’t print.The adjoining pieces are marked as “5a” and “6a”. Is it possible to get a copy of this section as I love the design, but don’t have the skills to draft this part. Thank you.

Hi Geoffrey, yes, I’m in NY, working at Burda Style as an intern, but I’ll stay here for a rather short period – just one month. I’m going home on November 30th. I wish I could stay longer, but there’s a real life waiting for me at home :).

Hey AnaJan, I am sooo glad to hear you have a short course scheduled from next month :)! Finally :) ! Keep going in this direction and keep me posted what the course is like, please, I am interested in fashion design myself, remember :). Oh, and by the way, you don’t look like 32 at all. I think my skills have advanced a lot during the last 2-3 years, and I really enjoy the self confidence that comes with the gained knowledge. The whole new world of possibilities is opened to me!

Hi Ana, I’ve been planning for ages to upload a photo of the skirt I made using your pattern. But I still haven’t got round to taking that picture. Though the woman owning the shop where I bought the fabric was so enthusiast about it, she took a picture of me wearing the skirt (and shopping for more fabric to try your other skirt pattern) and posted it on facebook. Hello again anajan. Now, I am really gonna loose my patience in a minute, young lady… “Too old” to study something you love and regard as your passion? You must be kidding! Look around, honey. These days people start working at the age of 20 but they study in the afternoons at the age of 35 or so! I am myself a mature student of psychology (I’m 29). This is my first year. I have always wanted to study psychology, have even sit for entrance exams for uni (being 23 years old) but failed… :( (just like that decided to switch from teaching English to studying psychology) It was there, though, where I saw people middle aged sitting for exams. Honestly, it doesn’t matter what others will say. You know you are sewing clothes for your own pleasure and the more you chase your dreams, the more people around start to worry about themselves and their own dreams, not yours, trust me! I guess if I had more time, I would start some course myself :). Besides, a few years of studies will pass very quickly. You know you would do it to pursue your interests and that is what counts the most in life – to be yourself, to do what you like and be happy about it. Take care sweatheart. Do not let your talents wasted. In five years time I want to see you working for some leading retailer as chief designer :). (or else I will find you in Belgrade and slap your face for being lazy to enrol for the course… ;D ) xxxxxxxxxxxxx Marta.

Hahah, you’re really scary when you loose your temper ! ;-) I think you’re one smart and brave lady, and I think it’s great that you’re finally studying what you’ve wanted.
Thanks again for the inspiring words and for pushing me further (sometimes that’s just what one needs!). I’m going to a short fashion design course next month, maybe that’ll light my fire even more :-).
You’ve reminded me of a close friend who’s been pushing me to make an extreme cut in my life and pursue a fashion career.

Dear Marta, you’ve made my day! :) Thank you so much for the nice words and compliments. I never considered myself a fashion designer, but I had my dreams, and sewing is a way to express my creativity. Recently, I’ve been thinking about enrolling fashion design or pattern construction, but sometimes I feel I’m too old for that (I’m 32). However, who knows, maybe you’ll see my brand of RTW clothes!? ;)

Ma dobro sam zbog obaveze malo sam pauzirala sa sivenjem,tu i tamo po neke pantalone,haljinu,nisam imala vreme da slikam to:) Posetila sam ti i blog,super je onaj projekt da ceo mesec nosis svoje sasivene stvari..

Sewing is my hobby, the greatest passion, and my sewing machine is my best friend. I was completely self-taught, it took me few years to learn basic things. But it was worth every second!
