  I had a wonderful vacation and some time away from my sewing machine. I can’t wait to sew my next project. I took a sewing class on how to finish a garment so that it does not have a homemade look, so I am ready to try some of the skills that I learned.

  I took a sewing class at Habermans in Royal Oak, MI. The lesson was “All About Knits” and I give this class a thumbs up!!! It was very informative.

  I took a break from sewing to put together my sewing table that I got for Christmas. It was quite challenging, but I got it done. Now I have a completed sewing room and I am very happy with my own space to sew. I hope to post my next project in a couple of days. Then – draping.

  I’ve been working on projects and making items for other people. Now – I will graduate and start making wearables for myself. My first item will be a skirt which I already cut out. I will try to finish it so that I can wear it Saturday. Wish me luck!!

  I am taking a five week sewing class, so I am really excited about learning new techniques, especially zippers, pockets, pattern making and pattern adjustments. My first project is going to be the McCall’s Hooded Unisex Jacket, #9581.
