The mushroom dress is a simple, versatile design perfect for patterned chiffon or silk-type fabrics to allow slouching and gathering. It's not sized according to a standard sizing system but based on your own measurements and can be cut directly on the fabric without making an official pattern. Most shaping is done with 1/8” elastic sewn at the natural waistline and along seams.
This is a great classic jeans pattern, that happens to be plus size. We made them in a sturdy denim, but you could fabricate them as nice dress pants or wool trousers, too. A bit of elastic adds pleasant ease in the waistband. Enjoy!
Here is the pattern piece for the edge binding pieces from our Fabric Scrap Quilt. The How To gives directions for making your own custom-size quilt; if you'd like to make a quilt using a pattern, use these pattern pieces and cut the backing rectangle according to the measurements on this pattern.
Amount of Fabric:
scraps and about a yard or two for backing and binding
We love this simple bag! It's quick and easy to sew, and it's reversible, giving you two fashion options in one. Choose fun fabrics--we used leather, embossed leather, and a fun denim print--and you'll never get bored with your groovy new bag.
My first pattern on Burdastyle hope you like it and that ´s okay because I don´t have a fancy program for this..so its handdrewn and my English isn´t that great.
The instructions are with pictures so that words aren´t necessary for understanding...
I forgot to say in the instructions, that you slip- stich the innerbag after turning inside out and clip the rest of the curves before..( after step 3)
If you would like to have the instructions in German, contact me via Personal Message, than I will write back with attachment - otherwise somebody tell me where the "print at copy shop" button is, so I can post it there..
This lovely little number comes to us thanks to member joclin, a winner from our
Summer in the City competition. Depending on your fabric, you can make this top elegant and dressy or fun and casual, without even falling down the rabbit hole. Thanks, joclin!
