Recommended Materials
Silk. You need about 1/2 yard in length because you are cutting on the bias, but you'll have a lot left over. You can make a lot of bow ties out of that 1/2 yard! You also need interfacing, and two sliders, 1/2" x 7/8" (1.27-2.23cm).
