Fold the fabric as shown in the pattern layout. Right side faces in on a ¬double ¬layer of fabric; right side faces up on a single layer.
Note direction of nap on velvet.

Recommended Materials

Velvet for the bodice. Softly draping wools or blends for the skirt. Silk fabrics with some body for the apron.

Amount of Fabrics

Dress: Cotton velvet, 150 cm (59 in) wide, for the bodice: 0.60 m (3/4 yd) for all sizes. Flannel, 150 cm (59 in) wide, for the skirt: 2.00 m (21/4 yds). Batiste, 140 cm (55 in) wide, as lining for bodice: 0.70 m (7/8 yd). Vilene/Pellon G 700. 3 different
