Cut from a single layer of fabric, right side facing up. Pieces shown with a broken outline should be placed on the fab¬ric with their printed side facing down.
Note: This style consists of two asymmetric garments, one each of light and of dark fabric and mirror images of one another. The finished garments are then placed one over the other and stitched together at part of the side seams.
Vilene Bias Tape is a 12 mm (1/2 in) wide bias tape made of lightweight interfacing. A line of chain stitch, about 4 mm (3/16 in) from the edge, gives it stability. Vilene Bias Tape is ideal for use on rounded edges or for fabric pieces cut on the bias. It is very soft and holds the edge without making it stiff. Vilene Bias Tape is available by the metre/yard, in white and anthracite, at sewing shops.
Fine jersey fab¬rics. Use stretch jerseys ¬only.
