Gail is a more fitted version of the original Malissa pattern. For the glitzy set in we used a Guipure, however you can be as creative as you want here. Instead Guipure just use any kind of lace or sheer material. You can also instead of making a full inset add a wide trim to the neckline of the dress. We even had thought about just adding a trim of feathers around the neckline leaving it wide open over the shoulders.
In any event, there is lots of room to add your own party glitz to this version. We are so curious here so please make sure to share your ideas and final creations.
EDIT: I forgot to write a important step in the instruction!
befor you do step 4: baste the upper end from the inner bag piece and outer bag piece (right sides facing) and stitch (1 cm seam allowance). turn it and now step 4. SORRY for this mistake!
This is great handbag for go out on the evening. It's big enough to keep all your necessary things. And it's a eyecatcher when you use fancy fabrics. This is my first selfmade pattern, feel free to ask my question about the pattern and instructions!
simple men's tie pattern, good for silks ties and also polyester costume ties. Sorry if i havent gotten all the terms right in the instructions, this is the first pattern i have made
Here we have a perfect gift for a special person: an elegant and luxurious shawl, that is very simple to make. After sewing together coordinating rectangles of chiffon and organza, give the resulting wrap a sprinkling of diaphanous flowers. In our instructions, we give you the dimensions we used, but, of course, you can adjust this to your preference. Also, depending on the amount of fabric you have, you may want some seams in your scarf: just use a baby hem. For the silk flowers, see the How To for easy instructions.
When designing the robe, I, Benedikta, imagined big color blocks in primary colors, yellow, blue and red. Now having sewn it up quite some time later we decided on a bit more sophisticated color combination in which everyone following our blog posts had a part in. The solid colors really pronounce the design but I can very well imagine it in a mix of prints or stripes and solids. If our robe would not have been all in silk we would have taken the sleeve part double and added a thin layer of quilting in between with the typical diamond shaped top-stitching. That extra would be a nice idea if the gown is made as a warm cozy Christmas present surprise. Enjoy!
This is a great men's zip-up jacket pattern with a stand-up rib collar, raglan sleeves, and pockets. For ours, instead of using tried-and-true sweatshirt fabric to make the basic zip-up we see all the time, we decided on a decadent cable knit with contrasting ribbing, putting a classic spin on a modern staple. Whatever fabrication you decide on, whomever zips up in this cozy creation will surely be pleased!
