Amount of Fabrics

for the small bag: 0.40 m (1/2 yd) of fabric, 140 cm (55 ins) wide (e.g. brocade);

1 separating metal zipper, 30 cm (12 ins) long;

0.50 m (5/8 yd) of Vilene/Pellon Lamifix, 45 cm (18 ins) wide;

1 m (40 ins) of bias tape, to bind seam allowances;

for the large bag: 0.50 m (5/8 yd) of fabric, 140 cm (55 ins) wide (e.g. fabric with woven-in golden threads);

1 sep­arating metal zipper, 40 cm (16 ins) long;

0.65 m (3/4 yd) Vilene/Pellon ­Lamifix, 45 cm (18 ins) wide;

1.20 m (48 ins) of bias tape, to bind seam allowances;

for both bags, also: sewing thread in matching colour;

Gridded interfacing or tracing paper (to make full-size pattern piece).
