Recommended Materials

Fine sheer blouse ­fabrics. Lightweight stretch trouser fabrics with some body.

Amount of Fabrics

Original fabric: Silk chiffon for the blouse,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 1.80 – 1.80 – 2.20 – 2.20 – 2.20 m (2 – 2 – 2 1/2 – 2 1/2 – 2 1/2 yds).

Stretch jacquard (with crosswise stretch) for the trousers, width: 120 cm (47 ins)
legnth: 1.80 – 1.80 – 1.80 – 1.90 – 1.90 m (2 – 2 – 2 – 2 1/8 – 2 1/8 yds), cut on crosswise grain. ‘

Lining for the pockets,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 0.20 m (1/4 yd).

Important note: Stirrup trousers must stretch lengthwise or in both directions. Fabrics with crosswise stretch must therefore be cut crosswise to the fabric grain.

For the blouse:

lining as interfacing,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 0.25 m (3/8 yd).

7 small buttons.

For the trousers:

Interfacing: Vilene/Pellon G 785.

2 zips, 14 cm (6 ins) long.

1 invisible zip, 22 cm (9 ins) long.

One two-­piece buckle, bar width 2.5 cm (1 inch).

Elastic, 3 cm (1 1/4 ins) wide: 0.40 m (1/2 yd).
