Women’s plus size tunic sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes and is produced by burda style magazine

This flowery tunic top consists of two layers. The over layer is shirred at the waist, and has slits on the shoulders and center front so the under layer can shine through.

Note: This is the same pattern PDF as the Summer Dress

Recommended Materials

Lightweight, softly draping fabrics.

Amount of Fabrics

Tunic: Silk batiste,
width: 140 cm (55 ins) ­
length: 2.35 – 2.35 –2.40–2.40–2.40m (2 5/8 yds).

Vilene Bias Tape/stay tape.

Elastic thread for shirring.

4 small ­fabric-covered buttons.

Top: Crêpe satin, with widthwise stretch,
width: 135 cm (53 ins)
length: 0.90 – 0.90 – 1.20 – 1.20 – 1.45 m
(1 – 1 – 13/8 – 1 3/8 – 1 3/4 yds).

Vilene Bias Tape/stay tape. ­

Elastic, 5 mm (3/16 in) wide and 0.50 – 0.55 – 0.55 – 0.60 – 0.60 m (5/8 – 3/4 – 3/4 – 3/4 – 3/4 yd) long.

    If this is the same pattern as the Summer Dress, why do the sleeves not show up on the Summer Dress Pattern? I purchased the Summer Dress and do not want to purchase this as well if it is the same, but the sleeves look different and I dont see a sleeve piece on the summer dress pattern.

      I think the dress has casing with ties in it to gather the sleeve material up but the top just lets the fabric hang.
