I wouldn’t really say this is a Novice level pattern. The instructions don’t offer any advice as to how to “install” a welt pocket, there are no pictures to follow along with, and the instructions say twice to put the front welt pockets on and never to put the back welt pocket on. It’s very confusing. If you can get past the confusion, the finished product is nice.
