Has anyone shortened the bodice of this dress?? Its too long for me and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on where the best place to shorten this pattern would be since there are pleats on the top and bottom of the front bodice.
I’ll play around with my muslin but thought I’d ask anyway!

Hello, I’ve been staring at this page for half an hour now wondering how to access the online instructions. I used to like to look at them in conjunction with the PDF instructions to see whether other members had commented or whether there were any extra tidbits of information. Is it still possible to do this? Cheers

Sizes 72, 76 etc are for tall sizes. 72 is equivalent to size 38 but for a 5"8 + height so you’d need to shorten it if you are less than that. If you scroll through the chart pdf it has the sizes 16 etc for petite, then one for regular (sizes 36, 38 etc) and then the one for tall (sizes 70, 72 etc) and then you look at the bust/waist/hip measurements to choose your size.

Thanks, Vivian. I saw the chart, but it doesn’t explain the sizes 72, 76, 80, 84, 88. That chart only lists European, US and Burda sizes, none of which are equivalent to 72, 76, 80, 84, 88. I’m at a loss of what to do with this pattern.

Hi there,
I love this pattern, but don’t understand the sizes. What’s the equivalent for EU 38, please?
Thanks, Stefanie

Hi Stefanie, there’s a handy size chart up towards the right side of the page :) Here’s the link for the BurdaStyle.com online pattern size chart: http://www.burdastyle.com/statics/size-chart
