I’m really interested in making my own ties, but it seems like the standard width for most tie patterns is about 3", which in my opinion, is too wide. Wide ties for wide guys, skinny ties for skinny guys. I’d like to make a tie that is about 2.25" at its widest point, but I have no idea how wide this pattern makes a tie, or how to alter it to the size I want. Any thoughts?
I’m completely new to sewing but I’m REALLY excited about making my own stuff.
