Women’s coat sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes and is produced by BurdaStyle Magazine.

This beautiful trench coat is a classic piece that will withstand the test of time and trends. It features very large lapels, pockets and double breasted buttons.

This pattern is from the Classic Seaside collection.

Recommended Materials

Coat fabrics with some body made of wool or blends.

Amount of Fabrics

Double face fabric,
width: 150 cm (59 ins)
length: 3.55 – 3.60 – 3.60 – 3.65 – 3.65 m (4 – 4 – 4 – 4 – 4 yds).

Lining for the pocket pieces,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 0.25 m (1/4 yd) for all sizes.

Interfacing.

Bias satin tape pre-folded,
width: 2 cm (¾ in)
length: 6.10 – 6.20 – 6.35 – 6.40 – 6.45 m (6¾ –
6 3/4 – 7 – 7 – 7 yds).

6 buttons and 1 flat inside button.

Shoulder pads.

A ­remant of wadding.

    Classic, beautiful design, but not at all a trench. This is a coachman’s coat, given the high, wide collar, but no gunflaps or epaulets, or sleeve flaps and the trim fitted waist silhouette.

    The bum-length versions when made according to Hoyle can be reefer or pea coats, depending on the lining, fabric, vents, etc.

    But no way is this a trench.
