Women’s gown sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes.

The dress fits narrow above the knee and then flares beautifully out due to the center back godet. The lace looks lovely sheer on the sleeves, and overlays crepe satin for the dress body.

Recommended Materials

Fine lace fab­rics with scalloped edges, combined with crêpe satin.

Amount of Fabrics

Note: When purchasing the lace fab­ric for this style, remember that the pattern of the lace should allow cutting both lengthwise and widthwise. The front and back pieces must be cut on the lengthwise grain due to their length. The scalloped edge of the ­fab­ric lies at the lower edge of the sleeves and they must therefore be cut on the widthwise grain.

Tulle lace fabric with two scalloped edges,
width: 110 cm (44 in)
length: 6.60 – 6.60 – 6.70 – 6.70 – 6.70 m
(7 1/4 – 7 1/4 – 7 3/8 – 7 3/8 – 7 3/8 yds).

Crêpe satin for underdress,
width: 135 cm (53 in)
length: 5.30 – 5.30 – 5.35 – 5.40 – 5.40 m
(5 7/8 – 5 7/8 – 6 – 6 – 6 yds).

Lining,
width: 140 cm (55 in)
length: 3.90 – 3.95 – 4.00 – 4.05 – 4.10 m
(4 1/4 – 4 3/8 – 4 3/8 – 4 1/2 – 4 1/2 yds).

Interfacing and 1 invisible zip, 60 cm (24 ins) long.

Organza­ bias tape, pre-folded, 2 cm (3/4 in) wide and 4.15 – 4.20 – 4.25 – 4.30 – 4.35 m (4 5/8 – 4 5/8 – 4 3/4 – 4 3/4 – 4 7/8 yds) long.
