Description

Girl’s knit poncho sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes.

Stretch out your arms and let the wind catch you! Go for it with this hooded poncho. The wide raglan sleeves allow totally free movement and four horn buttons hold the front firmly closed.

Recommended Materials

Knit fabrics. The knit stitches of the fabric should be easy to unravel.

Amount of Fabrics

Note: The poncho is made from bulky knit fabric. On lower edges of front, back, and ­sleeve pieces, the knit stitches are picked up with a knitting needle, then cast off. To do this, you will need the yarn of the left­over fabric. Unravel the leftover fab­ric and wrap the yarn in a ball. ­Gear the size of the knitting needles to the weight of the yarn.

Knit fabric,
width: 150 cm (59 ins)
length: 1.60 – 1.75 – 2.00 m (1 3/4 – 2 – 2 1/4 yds).

A piece of organza.

Twill tape,
width: 1.5 cm (5/8 in)
length: 0.35 m (1/2 yd).

4 ­large buttons.

Knitting needles in a suitable size.
