Shavlin: The blogger ‘Two on and Two off’ also reported that the sleeve just cut as one with the bodice is terrible to wear and she too recommends just ignoring the wonky side of the pattern and going with the regular inset sleeve. Really, Burda shouldn’t try this hard to be different if people are wasting fabric and time on a design that doesn’t work. Thanks for your review. http://chanelno6.blogspot.ch/

I made this dress today – will post pics soon. I made it from striped stretch cotton jersey, its awful! The pattern sizing is quite big, I should have made the dress at least one if not two sizes smaller than the recommended size for my measurements. The left sleeve being ‘off the shoulder’ is not very comfortable.

I am going to make it again but instead of making it and ‘off the shoulder’ style I am going cut the pattern through the centre and use only the right side of the pattern (just place it on the fold and cut two!) Should still end up with a funnel neck style just more comfortable and better fitting.

What kind of fabric is cloque? I don’t think we have that in the US, what would something similar be?

We do have Cloque in the US, it means a fabric with a special kind of texture woven into the fabric, similar to a pleisse or matelasse, but neither of them, the on eshown is of course a knit or stretch version of this.

I love this dress!!!!! Although after looking at the line drawings, I’m very curious about what it looks like when you’re not standing like this, lol… anyone know? :)
