Skirt sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes.

This lovely skirt only has pleats in the front, and has a simple back design. The pleats in the front of the skirt are precisely placed and stitched down at the top to create a skirt that is sure to make a statement. This knee length skirt is so versatile, and can transition easily from season to season.

Recommended Materials

Skirt fabrics with some body. For permanent ­pleats, use a lightweight fabric with a high synthetic content for the ­pleat piece.

Amount of Fabrics

Ponte jersey,
width: 130 cm (51 ins) ­
legnth: 0.70 m (7/8 yd) for all sizes.

Crêpe de chine pleat (pleated piece),
width: 145 cm (57 ins)
length: 0.65 m (7/8 yd).

Lining,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 0.70 m (7/8 yd).

Vilene Bias Tape/ stay tape.

Peter­sham ribbon (for waistband), 2.5 cm (1 in) wide: 1.60 – 1.65 – 1.75 – 1.85 – 1.90 m (1 3/4 – 17/8 – 2 – 2 1/8 – 2 1/8 yds) long.

1 invisible zip, 22 cm (9 ins) long.

1 sew-on snap fastener.
