Plus size skirt sewing pattern available for download, available in various sizes.

This skirt is flowy and beautifully draped. It has a great gathered waist band and front flounce. This maxi skirt includes step-by-step sewing instructions, so it is easy to make and also makes a perfect weekend project!

This pattern is from the Sail Away collection

Recommended Materials

Lightweight skirt fabrics. Fabrics with two ‘good‘ sides are ideal.

Amount of Fabrics

Silk twill,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: sizes 44, 46, 48: 2.95 m (3 3/8 yds),
size 50: 3.05 m (3 1/2 yds),
size 52: 3.10 m (3 1/2 yds).

0.50 m (5/8 yd) Vilene/Pellon G 785, 90 cm (36 ins) wide.

Vilene Bias Tape/stay tape.

1 invisible zipper, 22 cm (9 ins) long, and a special presser foot.
