I just finished this in a cream matte lace I found from years ago and really like it. Made it quickly, maybe 90 minutes or so and it was simple with few alternations. For more formal fabrics I might go a size down, as the gusset on the side really does add some volume – but overall, I really liked this pattern and that it’s modern cut will let me make it a few types of fabric, both casual and more formal. I’m actually thinking about doing it in a high quality jersey fleece for a “sweatshirt” without the sweat….

It’s amazing how good that looks on, especially when you compare it with the technical illustration. :)
