Description

Women’s dress sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes and is produced by burda style magazine.

A 2-piece costume dress for special occasions. An outer layer has a dirndle skirt and corsetry with decorative lacing. The strapless bustier underlayer can be worn any time. It’s so versatile!

This pattern is from Hillside Holiday collection.

Recommended Materials

Dress fabrics with some body.

Amount of Fabrics

Cotton gabardine,
width: 145 cm (57 ins) ­
length: 1.35 m (1 5/8 yds) for all sizes.

Embroidered doupion silk,
width: 135 cm (53 ins)
length: 1.70 m (1 7/8 yds). ­

Lining,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 1.20 m (1 3/8 yds).

Interfacing: Vilene/Pellon G 785, Vilene Bias Tape/ stay tape.

Link chain (available by the ­metre/yard), 5 mm (3/16 in) wide and 1.50 m (1 3/4 yds) long.

­Piping in a con­trasting colour: 1.85 – 1.90 — 1.95 – 2.00 – 2.05 m (2 1/8 – 2 1/8 – 2 1/4 – 2 1/4 – 2 1/4 yds).

Satin cord, approx. 2 mm (a scant 1/8 in) thick, for the loops: 0.75 m (7/8 yd).

Boning tape, 8 mm (1/4 in) wide and 2.20 – 2.20 – 2.25 – 2.25 – 2.25 m (2 1/2 – 2 1/2 – 2 5/8 – 2 5/8 – 2 5/8 yds) long.

1 invisible zip, 40 cm (16 ins) long.

Charivari chain (for folklore ­costume).
