Description

Children’s parka sewing pattern available for download. Available in various sizes.

This parka has all the features that an outdoor jacket needs, including bellow pockets, hood, and a concealed zipper closure. It’s lined with cozy fulled knit fabric and has a waist cord to secure it against the cold.

Note: This is the same pattern PDF as the Shearling Coat

Recommended Materials

Lightweight jacket fabrics with some body, with or without elastane. Fabrics with a brushed surface for lining. Quilted ­lining for the sleeves.

Amount of Fabrics

Stretch gabardine, with widthwise stretch,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 1.30 – 1.35 – 1.40 – 1.50 – 1.50 m
(1 1/2 – 1 5/8 – 1 5/8 – 1 3/4 – 1 3/4 yds).

Fulled knit fab­ric for lining,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 0.80 – 0.80 – 0.85 – 0.85 – 0.90 m
(7/8 – 7/8 – 1 – 1 – 1 yd) (without sleeves).

Quilted lining for the sleeves,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 0.45 – 0.45 – 0.45 – 0.50 – 0.50 m (5/8 yd).

Fusible batting and Interfacing.

1 separating two-way metal zip, 45 – 45 – 50 – 50 – 55 cm (18 – 18 – 20 – 20 – 22 ins) long.

Stretch cord, approx. 3 mm (1/8 in) thick and 1.50 – 1.60 – 1.60 – 1.70 – 1.70 m (1 3/4 – 1 3/4 – 1 3/4 – 1 7/8 – 1 7/8 yds) long.

2 cord stoppers with 2 openings and 2 hammer-on snap ­fas­teners.
