Description

Plus size jacket sewing pattern available for download, available in various sizes.

This leather accented jacket is great for fall, and is so edgy! This semi-fitted jacket has many panels and seams, and a zipper front closer. It has a high collar for warmth and beautifully fitted sleeves that don’t add bulk.

Recommended Materials

Jacket fabrics with some body, combinee with ­leather or imitation leather.

Amount of Fabrics

Stretch nappa leather,
To make this style in size 44, you will need 2 ­leather skins with a total of approx. 17 sq. ft. (1 sq. ft. = 30 × 30 cm). Please ask your leather dealer about leather requirements for larger sizes since leather skins can vary ­greatly. We recommend taking the paper pattern with you when buying the leather.

Loden cloth,
width: 150 cm (59 ins)
length: 1.00 m (1 1/8 yd) for all sizes.

Wool jersey,
width: 130 cm (51 ins)
length: 0.40 m (1/2 yd). ­

Lining,
width: 140 cm (55 ins)
length: 1.20 m (1 3/8 yds).

1 separating metal zip, 45 – 45 – 50 – 50 – 50 cm (18 – 18 – 20 – 20 – 20 ins) long. The zip must be shortened for sizes 44, 48, 50, and 52 – it should be 5 mm (3/16 in) shorter than the front edges.

2 large sew-on snap fasteners.

Embroi­dery thread in a contrasting colour.

Textile adhesive (e. g. Rudolfix, Gütermann Klebenaht HT 2) and Glue stick (Pritt, Tesa).

Magic chalk.
