Description

What better way to complete an astronaut costume than to make a futuristic helmet. See the instructions on how to assemble this whole costume.

Amount of Fabrics

Purchased jumpsuit.

5 iron-on appliqués.

Black petersham ribbon, 2.5 cm (1 in) wide and 3.50 m (3 7/8 yds).

Clip-buckle (Prym), bar width 2.5 cm (1 in) wide.

2 large plastic water bottles.

Gray spray paint (Knorr Prandell).

1.60 m (1 3/4 yds) of plastic tube (should fit into the mouth of the bottle).

Electricians tape.

Helmet: Paper lantern (spherical lampshade with spiral wooden frame), Newspaper and wallpaper paste, White electricians tape. Foam rubber ­tube (air conditioner ­insulation ­tube), Ø 3 cm (1 1/4 ins): 0.85 m (1 yd) and White emul­sion paint.
