This classic Alberta Ferretti dress features all her signature details from the draping at the shoulder, to the layering of the skirt and decorative waist embellishment. Now you can make your own designer dress, perfect for a fancy evening or cocktail party.
Lightweight, softly draping fabrics for the overdress and satin for the underdress. Fabrics with some elastane are ideal for the underdress.
Chiffon for the overdress,
fabric width: 140 cm (55 ins)
fabric length: 2.80 2.80 2.90 3.00 3.10 m (3 1/8 3 1/8 3 1/4 3 3/8 3 1/2 yds), cut on the bias.
Stretch satin for the underdress,
fabric width: 135 cm (53 ins)
fabric length: 1.20 1.20 1.25 1.30 1.30 m (1 3/8 1 3/8 1 1/2 1 1/2 1 1/2 yds), cut on lengthwise grain
1 invisible zipper, 40 cm (16 ins) long, and a special presser foot.
9 small sew-on snap fasteners.
Decorative oval clasp or brooch, approx. 10 × 6 cm (4 × 23/8 ins).
