This blouse was easy to sew, I used ramie, a tropical textile, very easy to work with. I altered the pattern, changing the direction of pleats and the armholes, in order to add 3/4 sleeves. The sewing instructions appeared very clear, I just payed a special attention to the collar. I’m planning to sew a second blouse, posting it as project, if possible.

I am a long time sewer, and had difficulty with the directions given to put the collar on. They were very vague and even after making a second blouse, I’m still not sure I have done it correctly. The blouse, however, is very cute when finished.

Total newbie question: I’m having trouble interpreting the “Amount of Fabrics.”

OK they are recommending poplin- got it (any chance I could pull this off with a silk?)

So- if I’m a size 42, then I need 13/8 yards, or 1 5/8 yards, is that right?

Vilene/Pellon G785 is interfacing, is that right? That’s what comes up when I search the term.

    and then 5 buttons.

Could someone please let me know if I have that right?

Thanks very much in advance for your help with this!

Hi infinite-plus-one, I was having a similar issue. I had some help with a sewing pro. Here are some pictures I took of my blouse that’s in progress. The fabric used is polyester found at JoAnn Fabrics. The hardest part for me was the pleats but the collar is a pain too. The ends of the collar kinda encapsulates the neck pieces from Pattern Piece #1. Then we folded the collar over a 2nd time, and I had to do a hand slip stitch.
