With me, it's really about when DIDN'T I sew! My Gran used to freak at my mum because I'd be playing on the floor with her pins everywhere when I was just a few months old. When I was two, Mum drew some lines on some calico, sat me on her lap and helped me follow them. I don't think I've stopped since then! Mum taught me what she knew, I learned a lot on my own. Lately my skills have grown with the help of Donna, my mentor, whose home I have visited every Monday night for the last 5 years... just to sew. The only thing I don't know how to do is make my own patterns..... maybe one day I'll get around to that (when I run out of patterns!!!) Why do I sew? I can create things that actually portray my personality and style.... and they fit!
