I have been making my own clothes for about three years but mainly working with very simple patterns or adapting existing clothes. I recently went on a course at the London College of Fashion so have been experimenting with designing my own clothes and cutting the patterns from scratch. I still feel like I am only just past the stage of wonky hems and wrong seam allowance but I have been proud of my latest creations. I'm hoping to use Burda for some of the more complicated patterns (such as jackets and tailoring) so that I can practise before attempting to cut my own.
