One can never have enough fabric, buttons, trims and neat notions. At 58 I am still designing, dreaming, loving fabric. My sewing room looks out onto the beach. It also happens to be my office. So I can work, and sew . Taking a flat piece of fabric and turning it into clothing, a purse, a pillow is still an amazement to me. And that I have been given the gifts of good design sense, confidence with color and a sense of adventure means I must use them to creat joy in my home, and for my friends and family. I am happiest when sewing. Well I like walking on the beach as well! It truly does not feel like Christmas if I have not made gifts for the special people in my life. As my mother always said: " A gift of the hand is a gift of the heart."
