I've had my own sewing machine since I as 5. I have loved sewing ever since I watched my mother making things for my sister and myself, and Always loved my home-made clothes the best. I now make clothing for my own children, but am trying to get back into making things for myself. In high school I made much of my own clothing, including my formal dresses. In college I sewed custom dresses for others and designed clothing for myself...then for a while I let sewing fall by the wayside in favor of other things. Last birthday (my 35th) my husband bought me a new sewing machine and I have been sewing almost daily since then. My 9 year old son ants me to make all of his school clothes this year. Other than gifts, my 10 month old daughter has almost all hand-made clothing. Thanks to the inspiration I find on this website and all over the internet I'm ready to sew for myself.
