Hi! I've been sewing since I was about 17 when I bought and old singer in an antiques shop for £5 and when a friend gave me some velvet curtains I decided to try and make a medieval dress! if I remember rightly it came out quite well but maybe if I still had it I might think differently! I hadn't been sewing much for the last few years (I'm 33 now) but my partner and I decided to get married and I thought I would try and make my own wedding dress, since then have been sewing non stop! I'm addicted :o) My day job is working as a freelance illustrator, either for interior design or on films which I feel very lucky to be doing :o) but with the time to spare between jobs it's back to the sewing or painting!! Luckily my partner bought me a new Elna for my birthdau last year so everythig is improving slowly :o)
