My name is Hillary and I am 16 years old. I have so many interests and hobbies! Last year it was painting; I painted 7 rooms in my house, one of them a bathroom with very stubborn wallpaper! I love design, especially fashion and interior. I have been an on/off sewer since I was 11 and have recently gotten more into it. Up until this Christmas I was using my grandmother's 50 year old singer! When I am sewing, my greatest enemy is my cat. She jumps up on the table the second I am out of sight to chew my thread, pull my pins out of the cushion, and bat around anything that looks like fun! Thanks for featuring me BurdaStyle!

Absolutely! Mine has now paws full of taking care of her three children, but I think once I start making something again (hopefully today), the children will immediately take her place of personal assistant!

Well good luck with your exams Hillary! And also with your 'prom' dress! (Not that you'll need luck there, after seeing all of your fabulous creations!) I was thinking i might make my 'formal' dress. which is what we call it here in Australia... (The formal doesn't sound as exciting as the 'prom' ... oh well... it'll have to do :p ) Well, make sure you keep on being creative! Ren.

    A beginner seeking ANY tips!

Hey! I love your designs and clothes, first of all. Second- I'm 16 too and I'm just starting out. I was wondering how you learned to sew, where you get all of your knowledge from about how to do everything right! It seems so...confusing. But fun. Also, when do you find time to sew? Because I'm so wrapped up in schoolwork that I find myself having less and less time to practice. I look forward to seeing what else you come out with! --Stacey
