My name is Hillary and I am 16 years old. I have so many interests and hobbies! Last year it was painting; I painted 7 rooms in my house, one of them a bathroom with very stubborn wallpaper! I love design, especially fashion and interior. I have been an on/off sewer since I was 11 and have recently gotten more into it. Up until this Christmas I was using my grandmother's 50 year old singer! When I am sewing, my greatest enemy is my cat. She jumps up on the table the second I am out of sight to chew my thread, pull my pins out of the cushion, and bat around anything that looks like fun!

    A beginner seeking ANY tips!

Hey! I love your designs and clothes, first of all. Second- I'm 16 too and I'm just starting out. I was wondering how you learned to sew, where you get all of your knowledge from about how to do everything right! It seems so…confusing. But fun. Also, when do you find time to sew? Because I'm so wrapped up in schoolwork that I find myself having less and less time to practice. I look forward to seeing what else you come out with! —Stacey

Hi, i love all of your creations!! Especially the sailor top that you turned into a vest type top, i think i might have to attempt that one!! It’s driving me absolutely crazy having all of this inspiration to make things, but i'm tight with time at the moment, (I'm 16 as well, and i'm doing my half yearly exams for year 11 at the moment) I read your blog, and i so agree with you that that initial spark of inspiration is such a great feeling!! And also finishing something, they are both such wonderful feelings! Well, i can’t wait to see what else you come up with!! From Renee.

Man, you're one talented lady. I love your 'Sarah'. And I know what you mean about your cat. I have 2 and a dog. One of them loves to jump on my fabric when i'm trying to cut it, jump up near my sewing machine while I'm sewing, sleep on my ironing board. Wah!
