Thanks to BurdaStyle for this site where I can increase my knowledge. I never stop learning. The best lesson I learned was to use an iron. It makes a world of difference in the look of one's work.

Hi Nehmah I'm so bad at checking the messages on this. Thanks for the links to the Japanese store, couldn’t workout where the patterns were, but really enjoyed the pictures of the stores! tipnut also looks like an interesting site. sorry the arab dress was ineffective, some of the ladies belt them come to think of it. Right better get on with my course work!

    slow down

Hi nehmah, thanks for the comment on my wall! I am so happy that you mentioned my neckline, as I know you have the eyes of an expert. And I am completely your side… ironing is what the sewing is. That’s my mantra, too. About Heidi… after making one, I'm quite sure that the style of Heidi (plain, not fitted, but well figured) can be dressed beautifully by all kinds of bodyshape, including sizes. Wider range of sizes can be provided, I think. Quite a few of my friends are struggling to fit BuraStyle patterns to themselves because they are petite-sizes. I think it would be nice to have some system for requesting such issues (like a system for voting) to let them know what we would really practically like to have. Oops, I forgot making gloves!

    working on a quilt

    hi :)

I wasn’t on the side for a few weeks, so I saw your posting on my wall not untill now. I know the marquise site, it is a treasure for every costume lover :) At the moment I started a new victorian gown, and also I'm in progress with one from the rococo era. And you are right, I really love sewing and can’t imagine to stop it!

BTW, don't forget to use iron on the headband. ;-) It's essential after turning it to right side...

You're welcome! Heh, you didn’t choose the best time for asking me if I'm well, because I caught some mild sort of flu, which decided to reside in my intestines… but I shouldn’t be bothering you with that, especially because it’s not so bad after all. :D If you have any problems with the pattern, just ask me… It will take me some time to create the instructions/How To (I'm not sure whether I have all necessary pictures…), but I hope it’s simple enough for people to figure out themselves in the meantime. And yes, I believe it’s a good way how to teach your granddaughter the basics of sewing, including putting elastic into a fabric tube… And hopefully your granddaughter will then be enjoying wearing her headbands just like I am!
