i live in dublin city in ireland & work as an environmental consultant just outside the city. i love clothes, shoes & bags (fashion in general). my mum used to sew when i was younger so i'm hoping it's in the genes!! i'm happiest when hanging out with my friends & pondering what to make next:) recently i have been thinking about all the clothes i have that i never wear & how i could modify them & bring them to the front of my wardrobe (closet) again. being an environmental scientist, recycling and reusing items is a huge deal for me (i'm a total hoarder) so i have decided to see how many "new" items i can make from "old items". so far i have "remade" 2 skirts and have plans to remake 2 dresses. brand new material is very expensive in Ireland so i have been raiding a clothes shop called Pennys (a huge cheap department store) and have found numerous bargains so now my challenge is to see what i can do with them..... only time will tell:) i have started a new blog... http://lyndisblog.blogspot.com/ please come and check it out... i haven;t gotten around to posting any sewing blogs yet but they'll be up as soon as i've settled into my new apartment:)
