You asked if anyone could help you with high waisted clothing; I made my skirt without a pattern, which sounds daunting, but is actually really easy the way I did it! See Nayantara's How To: Make a Quick Party Skirt. All you have to do is measure your waist instead of your hips. For converting a pattern from hips to waist, just measure the smallest part of your waist instead of hips. Remember to lengthen the pattern, otherwise it might not cover you!
