I started sewing five years ago. I had my grandmother's old singer that would work with a foot pedal and do only straight stitches. So one day I picked a Burda Magazine and started following directions. Even though it was hard at first and i did a lot of stupid things, I enjoyed it and never ended with something that was monstrous and un-wearable. After a while I moved out of my parents home and I didn't have the money to buy a new sewing machine, neither the space to put it. Until this winter when I decided I could afford one and I could even arrange a sewing room. Sewing is like riding a bicycle, you never forget how to do it.
