    Have you listed a "wanted" on your local Freecycle"? Even if you don't get a pair that way, watch for a sale on-line or in a store, I have a serger but still use my pinking shears for the really good fabrics. Trimming with sharps and going over with pinking shears is the easiest way I know to do "Clip, notch and turn" on curved areas. Nehmah
