ELENASEBASTOPOL's WALL (7)
hey chica, Tu Frances es muy bien! Abrasos X
Hola chica! Como estas? Gracias por los informaciones sobre la directora de animacion. He encontrado su nombre pero nunca he visto su trabajo. Voy a ver lo! Disfruta! Besos Helene
Hey Elena! Que tal? Thanks for your comments! I really love stop frame animation. I really admire William Kentridge's work, I highly recommend it to you unless you don't know him already. Thanks for proposing your expertise on camera work! I am pretty fascinated with the possiblities of 35mm at the moment and by the work of Peter Tscherkassky. A bit of a man's world though, this scene.. Ask me if you have question as well with all this! Have a great day X
Elena,
Thanks for your message! Yeah you should try at home. The chemicals only last 4 weeks I thing so it is better to have loads to develop when you mix them. You will be lucky if you find Lomo tanks in flee market I think but maybe the place where you serviced the cameras may know about it and have some. Their production has been discontinued so they are fairly rare (you have to pay attention that the spiral is not broken in case you find one). I showed a film (short chalkboard animation) at the protobello Film Festival 3 years ago and took part in few festival. I had a film for the International Film Festival Rotterdam, 6mm hand printed and hand processed 16 mm stock. A bit of a hell to complete but it was fun. Now I am trying to experiment on 35 mm so if you have any advice! Have a great day and don't hesitate to contact me !
XX Helene
Elena, I have just seen your message! What an amazing job repearing those cameras! Hey really nice that you are into filming!Yes you can hand process super8 yourself. I am trying to post all the equipment under my user's profile where I show the process but it doesn't seem to work 1- chemical: you need reversal colour products (3 baths-developper, stop, bleach) which you can mix yourself-beware very toxic- 2-You need a dark space to unload the cartridge 3-It is better to load the film unto a Lomo tank spiral in the dark, then into the dark lomo tank You can look on Ebay, it is the best way to find them They are Russian made. The LOmo tank is a small dark room into which you can pour the chemicals (they should be at a temperature of 38 degrees) and pour back them into your bottle without spillage.
It is highly feasable! Get started!XX
Hey Elena! Thanks for your comments! Yeah I love 16 mm bolex! Do you have one? I was planning to film this week-end but the weather was so bad and I didn't want to waste celluloid. I was planning to film the place where I live (the place depicted on the picture I use for my user's picture)I have all the chemicals ready for processing though. Well nice to communicate with people on Burda! My name is Helene by the way
Hey thanks for your comment on my jumper!I Love your creationsHey I was born on the 13th of January!
