My name is Casey and I'm an avid seamstress. Creating unique garments for my wardrobe is a pastime I love to do--when I have the time! lol. I have sewn for as long as I can remember, but this year has really renewed my interest in it. I'm doing a year-long experiment in 2008 to abstain from mass-produced, mass retail purchases as much as possible. So it's pretty much up to me to create (or thrift/scrounge) my own wardrobe! Please visit my blog for more of my creative ramblings, or check out my Flickr for my past (and present) creations! http://blog.caseybrowndesigns.com http://caseybrowndesigns.com http://www.flickr.com/photos/elegantmusings/

I have a question about your valentine dress, when you said, you measured in 2” from the center back edge, and slashed the pattern completely down the length, and spread 2”, I'm not quite sure what you meant by slash and spread. Please verify! I'm kind of new at this whole sewing thing.. :]
You simply are inspiring! You work is great and beautiful; very feminine. Thank you for sharing all your wonderful creations. :o)
wow, your creations are beautiful and so lovely.
i love your work!!
Hey Cassey, thank you for your compliment. I love your creations and the vivid colours of your style (a bit of Godard in the choice of colour?)
I really like how you wear your creations over your vintage slips. They add so much elegance to already fantastic dresses!
i simply must add to the list of accolades here because i love, love, LOVE your style! thanks so much for the inspiration!
hey casey! You have such a great talent for styling and picking the perfect patterns for your style. You have beautiful creations and it seems you have a lot of fun with them!
hi casey, thanks for the creation love! yours are very inspiring, and some of my favorites here... i've also just bookmarked your blog. you might want to post it at the forum on the "member blogs" thread... i'll be looking tonight after work:)
I love your vintage looking dresses, as well as your other creations. I don't think I have bought an item of clothing since discovering this website. When I look in my closet I usually want to wear something I've made over something else. This has not always been the case. Good luck with your future creations!
