My name is Casey and I'm an avid seamstress. Creating unique garments for my wardrobe is a pastime I love to do--when I have the time! lol. I have sewn for as long as I can remember, but this year has really renewed my interest in it. I'm doing a year-long experiment in 2008 to abstain from mass-produced, mass retail purchases as much as possible. So it's pretty much up to me to create (or thrift/scrounge) my own wardrobe!     I love your vintage looking dresses, as well as your other creations. I don't think I have bought an item of clothing since discovering this website. When I look in my closet I usually want to wear something I've made over something else. This has not always been the case. Good luck with your future creations!

    Thanks so much for the instruction for the red dress. I'm definitely going to give it a go. You said you might put photo instructions up on the smocking? That would be great. Thanks again for sharing. You're really clever!
