Hi CASPER7584! Sorry it took me so long to respond to your question. I haven't been online in a while. You asked how I interfaced/lined the handle of my zebra purse. I interfaced the whole exterior layer of the purse, then I cut out the rectangle for the hole. I added extra for seam allownace of course and interfaced the rectangle. I am too lazy/cheap to buy interfacing off a bolt at the fabric store so I just buy the prepackaged stuff. It is kinda thin but it is fusible so I like it. :) The handle isn't as stiff as I would like it but you could use plastic canvas around the hole if you want it stiffer. The tutorial I used for this is here: http://ilovekorn.livejournal.com/551156.html#cutid1. Sorry for the wordy explanation. I hope this helps.
