i started sewing with my mom, she made me all my halloween costumes till last year i made my own!! since i was young she made tons of little sundresses always giving me the freedom to choose the pattern and fabric and she would sit down one weekend and just make them for me i tryed when i was younger to sew but i was never that good i saw sure the sewing machine hated me but when i started high school i really got into it, now 2 years later i am learning more and more everyday and i still have the full support of my mother i can't go to frabric store without her although our roles of changed i'm now the sewer she is always there to give me advice
