Fancy Fig Leaves I just think there's nothing better than a good dress. One piece, and it's an outfit. Fav. Designers: Mulleavy sisters (Rodarte), Miss Betsey Johnson, and Erin Fetherston

Happy I had uploaded my newest work

Oh, thank you for your comment! So do you, and I especially like your Christin dress :-) I wish you were my neighbor so I can call you up and ask for a fancy dress for parties!

I just LOVE all of your dresses. I really want to make more of my own but can never find the right fabric! You're an inspiration.

Hello Beth! thanks for your comments on my blouse. I would like it as a dress as well, pale pistachio colour and foamy fabric!. keep well!

Actually, my wonderful sister (who is also on burdastyle) taught me. One thing I forgot to tell you is that the elastic comes undone a lot easier than regular thread, so make sure you tie your ends together or something to keep in in tact.

I can't wait to see your creation! I too have had some friends hire me to do alterations, make things, etc. It's so much fun!

The gathering is so so so easy! Just hand-wind elastic thread onto your bobbin, which will automatically add tension and create perfect shirring. I had to adjust my bobbin thread a bit to get the look I wanted, so make sure you have some test pieces.

Seriously, if I can do it anyone can do it. I've only been sewing for about a month... I wish I had your skill!!

can't wait to make her skirt

Uhhh, I definitely just got the pattern you used for the dresses with the ties on the sleeves, and I was wondering if you had any problems with the pattern sizing that they have.. Cause, it says I'm a 14 in their patterns, when I'm a 6... I tried their patterns before, and it said the same thing, but I tried the 8, and it was wayy too big.. please help!?
