I'm making bag you just posted and i was wondering it you reinforced the handle area? just wanted to check before i get too far into it , it just seams like it would need something there and i dunno what i would use thanx

Glad you asked! I used the Duck brand of duct tape, which tears a little easier than 3M's brand (and is cheaper), but I actually cut every piece anyway to keep a smooth edge. We used only as big of a piece as could wrap flatly around the body, and it meant that most of the pieces of tape went on at an angle. Around the waist, etc. most of the pieces were around 8 inches, but along the bust, pieces were 2-3 inches and cut in half lengthwise (again, to keep everything flat). I put a piece of tape down the midline of the back before cutting, and came out of the finished piece REALLY slowly. What I didn't do was stuff it right away, but I'd recommend doing that to keep the form as much as possible. I also tried stabilizing the interior walls with Great Stuff, but ended up getting a "bad" can and it created more problems than it fixed. In the end, though, the cotton batting was a way better method, and cheaper! Also, I used some cardboard scraps and cut them to fit inside each of the openings before making the cover.
